Virtus.pro Hires Russians Sports Marketer as General Manager of CS:GO, Dota 2 and Hearthstone Operations
In a Facebook post released today, the Virtus.pro organization announced that they are bringing aboard Russian-born sports marketing executive, Roman Dvoryankin, as the general manager of their various eSports teams.

Dvoryankin served as the marketing director of HC Spartak Moscow, a professional ice hockey team based in Moscow, Russia. In 2014, Dvoryankin worked on the Sochi Olympics for high-profile clients such as McDonald’s and NBC to penetrate the Russian market.
In a statement released by the team via Facebook, Dvoryankin said:
“eSports is one of the most dynamically developing spheres in the world’s sport industry. I am very glad to join the leading CIS eSports organisation and one of the most famous eSports clubs in the world, Virtus.pro.”
“I am sure that our prominent squads in world’s leading eSports disciplines and competent professionals working within the organisation gives us the potential to develop as a sports club and as a business organisation to increase the Virtus.pro’s brand capitalisation.”
Anton Cherepennikov, Managing Partner of ESForce Holding had this to say:
“I am happy to announce that we have finalised our internal restructuring process. We have signed the contracts with all our players, changed our approach to trainings, updated our management and built a new, easy-to-understand management structure. Now, I would like to concentrate on the general development of the holding and pass the baton of managing Virtus.pro to professionals with experience in sports business”
As part of the new changes in management, Virtus.pro has hinted on some potential roster and quality-of-life changes coming to VP’s Hearthstone, Dota 2 and CS:GO teams.
