Valve Just Released a Comic Teaser for the Oracle and It’s Pretty Fantastic
Earlier today, Valve released a short comic teasing one of the few remaining heroes yet to be ported to Dota 2 from the old Defense of the Ancients (DotA) WarCraft III custom map.
Titled “The Contract,” Mortred the Phantom Assassin has set out to assassinate the mysterious Oracle, Nerif, only to find out that the job is never easy.
Nerif the Oracle is a powerful support hero, able to give a multitude of powerful yet situational buffs to turn the tides of battle — including the ability to grant complete invisibility that does not break even when attacking!
Well, we say support, but that last ability gets him a pretty frequent slot as a hard-hitting, semi-carry.
Just look at all that detail! I’m sure we’re not the only ones who hope that sequels are on their way (or possibly that all the other 100+ heroes should be featured in their graphic novels).
Is that a possible Phantom Assassin arcana weapon I spy?
