Thailand takes home their second esports Gold medal at the 2019 SEA Games as Nopparut “Book” Hempamorn wins the Grand Finals 3-1 at the FilOil Flying VCentre in San Juan Manila.

Book took down the Philippine representatives Alexandre Gabrielle “AK” Laverez and Andreij Hosea “PBE Doujin” Albar in the Playoffs 3-2 and 3-1 respectively to earn the elusive Gold finish. With his decisive Akuma play, Book won his matches with relative ease with a bracket reset to spare in the Grand Finals.

Thailand’s golden finish in Tekken 7 concludes the historic debut of esports at the 2019 SEA Games.
