This month, students, pro gamers and streamers will unite to fight COVID-19. Esports AcadArena, the largest campus esports initiative in the Philippines, has announced the launch of Starforge – a League of legends stream campaign for the benefit of the Philippine Health Center.

Starforge will feature showmatches and invitationals between collegiate teams from the University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, Ateneo de Manila University, Far Eastern University, and the University of San Agustin. Homecoming Showmatch will be on April 17 starting 4 PM while the Alliance Pioneers Invitational will begin on April 18-19 with its best-of-three Finals on April 24.

Despite the cancellation of the AcadArena Summer Split, Esports AcadArena will still be hosting an amateur open for League of Legends called Aces. Registrations are open till April 17 and will feature 32 teams going head-to-head for the lion’s share of 20k Riot Points (around ₱3700 worth of Garena Shells) and 50k Razer Silver.
