Doublelift Reportedly Back to Team SoloMid
According to a report by Jacob Wolf of ESPN, Yilliang “Doublelift” Peng will be moving back to Team SoloMid after his contract was put up for trade by Team Liquid last Thursday.
The reported roster move comes after a disappointing Spring split where Team Liquid went 9th place with a 7-11 record. Despite their struggles in LCS Spring 2020, Doublelift had a historical run in Team Liquid winning four back-to-back championships from 2018 to 2019.
After his contract was put up for trade, the community speculated that the storied marksman would be reuniting with Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg and Vincent “Biofrost” Wang in Team SoloMid. Of which, were part of the Team SoloMid that dominated 2015 and 2016 in the then-NA LCS.
As Doublelift’s move comes in the middle of the season, the team will have ample time to practice before the start of the summer split. Although, they still have to build their synergy with newcomers Sergen “Brokenblade” Çelik and Joshue “Dardoch” Hartnett for the upcoming season.
As of the moment, TSM has yet to announce where Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup will be heading as Doublelift fills in his shoes for the summer split onward.
