Virtus.Pro drew first blood thanks to an Axe masterclass from Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok but the back-to-back TI winners were clinical in the next two games to turn the tie on its head. With their backs against the wall, VP drew inspiration from Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko’s monstrous Templar Assassin to even the series 2-2.
While the first four games all ended in one-sided stomps, game 5 had both teams constantly wrestling each other for dominance. After 50 minutes of back-and-forth teamfights, it was Virtus.Pro who emerged victorious.
With this win, VP is now tied with Team Secret for most Dota 2 major titles won (5).
