All Set For Playoffs: MPL PH S5 Week 6 Day 3 Recap
The sixth regular season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League has concluded and the teams and the community are all ready for playoffs.
Despite being eliminated from playoff contention, Geek Fam still put on a show for the viewers that tuned in. However, big performances by Jeraxnu and Sman helped BSB to a quick 2-0 victory. In a laughter-filled post-game interview, Wilson’s message for everyone was “Abangan niyo kami sa playoffs, ipapakita namin malulupit.” (Wait for us in the playoffs, we’ll bring something new to the table.)
In the second series, being the only game left that had any bearing on standings, STI had a chance to play spoiler for Execration. This was the game that decided Execration’s Upper or Lower Bracket fate. STI definitely put up a fight in Game 1, but Execration were quick to recover. They adjusted accordingly for Game 2, and took the 2-0 victory.
The final match of the regular season featured a rematch of the Season 4 Grand Finals, and it did not disappoint. In a 3-game slugfest, the top two teams turned it up to 11, showcasing their impeccable teamplay and individual skill. Tied at 1-1, Onic were leading in Game 3 10 minutes in, with a 5k gold lead and up 4 kills. Knocking on Sunsparks’s base, Onic did not anticipate a huge play by Greed, resulting in a 3 for 2 in favor of the boys in blue. Minutes later, a huge Triple Kill by the reigning MVP Jaypee’s Esmeralda results in the GG push for a thrilling 2-1 victory.
