2Staxx to Host League of Legends Invitationals for Streamers
League of Legends and variety streamer Terrel “2Staxx” Barnes will be hosting an all-streamer tournament, the 2STAXX INVITATIONAL from June 22 to 27, 2020.
The tournament will feature prominent and up-and-coming League of Legends streamers to play against one another for the community to watch. The 2STAXX Invitational will hold a draft with eight (8) captains deciding who to pick for their teams to be streamed live on June 19.
Tournament organizer 2Staxx believes that the invitational will help grow the community saying, “Some of these streamers have so much potential they just need a chance. By making this event[,] I am trying to help the community by helping up and coming streamers gain some sort of recognition.”
The 2STAXX Invitational seems to take from Twitch Rivals and the Tyler1 Championship Series which featured streamers going all-out in an exclusive tournament. He added, “I can guarantee that this tournament can and WILL bring the hype the League of Legends PH community needs.”
The elimination round will be from June 22-23, followed by the semifinals on the 25th, and the Grand Finals on the 27th.
2STAXX’s invitational is one of the first streamer initiatives to bring together the League of Legends community in a competitive tournament. For aspiring streamers, you can register through here. The event is done in partnership with OneSpot and Master Els.
