Wild Rift Beta Access Returns to the Philippines on September 18
League of Legends: Wild Rift returns on September 18 with its exclusive Closed Beta test for Android and iOS in the Philippines.
After a successful Alpha testing earlier in June, Wild Rift is moving on to its beta stage to continue testing the game for official release. Riot Games emphasized that they will be testing the game’s Gameplay and Systems, Infrastructure, Skins and Monetization, and iOS access for the beta phase.
The upcoming MOBA will be introducing six new champions to its roster for the beta roll-out including: Amumu, Dr. Mundo, Jarvan IV, Singed, Sona, and Varus.
Despite being a port of League of Legends, Wild Rift will be similar but not completely the same as its PC counterpart and is “optimized with mobile and console in mind”. In the Beta, Riot will be allowing users to purchase in-game content to test out monetization in the app.
Wild Rift features revamped Elemental Dragons, brand new items, boot enchantments, and optimized controls for mobile and console. Furthermore, Wild Rift will be introducing the Emerald rank which places in between Diamond and Platinum.
The Closed Beta will roll out to a limited number of pre-registered users on the Google Play Store starting September 18. iOS users will have to sign-up on the site and will be able to access the game through TestFlight. Minimum device specifications are as follows:
- Android Phones
- CPU: 4-core, 1.5 Ghz and above [32-Bit and 64-Bit Support]
- RAM: 1.5 GB
- Resolution: 1280 x 720
- iOS Phones
- iPhone 7
Note: iOS users will not be able to purchase in-game content in Wild Rift.
The Closed Beta will run from September 16 starting in Indonesia, and will gradually roll out to the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. There will be a limited time during the day where players will be able to go on and play much like the Alpha testing. Accounts will reset by early October and all paid currency will be returned with a 20% bonus.
Later on, Riot Games will be expanding Wild Rift to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Find out more about the upcoming mobile game on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and their main website.
