In Day 6 of Worlds 2020, Damwon Gaming and JD Gaming wipe the floor in Group B to qualify for the Knockout Stage.

The group played out by the book with Damwon Gaming and JD Gaming dominating Rogue and Paris Saint-Germain Talon all throughout groups. Despite the underdogs valiantly fighting back in the early game, the Eastern powerhouses knew how to shut them down when it came to map and objective play.

However, the League of Legends Pacific Championship Series’ PSG Talon were able to upset JD Gaming with a 27-minute stomp. JDG’s loss at the hands of the PCS representative meant that they lost the opportunity to contest for first place in the group. PSG then continued their streak to go 2-4 by taking down Rogue in their last game of the tournament.

To end the day, JDG bounced back against DWG in the last game of the group. Zhang “Zoom” Xing-Ran’s Camille led the way for JDG to take down the undefeated overlords in Damwon Gaming. Despite their win, JD Gaming will remain to be the group’s second seed. The LPL squad prove through their win that giants can indeed fall.
