UST Teletigers Reign True in AcadArena NCO, Qualifies for IEF 2020
The University of Santo Tomas Teletigers continue their reign of dominance in collegiate esports as they take down the University of San Agustin Golden Eagles 3-1 in the National Campus Open 2020.
Once again, the legacy of the Teletigers dynasty lives on as they take their second League of Legends championship in 2020. After winning Summer in the Alliance League, the Teletigers were unrelenting in their pursuit to get their golden ticket to IEF 2020.
In Game 1, the two teams went blow-for-blow with the game ending at the end of a bloody teamfight at the claws of the Golden Eagles. Taking the first win was the Visayans’ first step in reclaiming the trophy that St. Robert’s International School once held. With the playmaking of jungler Kaoru, who previously competed as part of SRIA’s championship roster, the Golden Eagles were able to steal a win from the defending champs.
However, that was the last that the Teletigers gave them as the champs ran through the following three games stomp after stomp after stomp. With the experience of their top-caliber laners such as Pao and Dane, the Teletigers made quick work of the Golden Eagles and their hopes of claiming another trophy for the region.
The Teletigers will be representing the country once more in the International Esports Festival 2020 Korea in the coming month. Follow AcadArena for more news on collegiate esports and gaming.
