North America will be kickstarting their competitive season with the league’s first-ever LCS Lock In starting on January 15, 2021.

The LCS Lock In is a single-elimination kickoff tournament where North American teams can showcase their dominance at the start of the year-long season. The ten (10) teams are drafted into two groups and do a single round robin followed by a Knockout Stage.

In the Knockout Stage, the quarterfinals consist of best-of-three matches with the semifinals and onwards being best-of-five series. The organization that comes out on top wins $150,000 and have $50,000 to be donated to the charity of their choice.

The groups are separated based on their standings from the previous season as Team SoloMid leads Group A and FlyQuest leading Group B. The LCS Lock-In comes after the league did a refresh of their branding heading into the 2021 season.

The tournament begins with 100 Thieves going up against TSM on January 16, 2021, 7:00 A.M.. Follow all the action live on LoL Esports, YouTube, and Twitch.
