Liyab Esports to Debut All-Star Filipino Lineup in PCS 2021
Philippine League of Legends representative Liyab Esports will be fielding an all-Filipino lineup starting PCS 2021 Spring.
Following a ninth place finish last Summer, Liyab has decided to reinvent their roster by taking in promising talent from the country’s own scene. Thus far, their confirmed roster is as follows:
- Top: Jay “Speltz” Tabarangao
- Jungle: Edrian “Doedoii” Brancia
- Mid: Ren “Kanji” Motomitsu
- ADC: Kyle “Dawn” Somera
- Support: Jan “Cresho” Hortizuela
- Sub: Jhon “Xyliath” Mike Tungo
Speltz and Cresho were picked up by the Filipino organization after the PCS 2021 Spring Promotion. The Top Laner and Support were originally from Panic Time which Liyab Esports handily took down 3-0 in the Grand Finals.
Akarawat “Cabbage” Wangsawat remains as their head coach with Gerald “Tgee” Gianne Gelacio as fellow Coach.
Liyab narrowly missed playoffs in Spring and Summer 2020. In the coming season, Liyab Esports hope to reach greater heights with their all-new lineup. The Philippines last qualified for Worlds in 2013 where the country went out with an 0-8 record in the Group Stage.
