Nexplay Esports is PH’s Best in LoL WR: ICON Series – Preseason
Nexplay Esports handily take down Sunsparks 4-0 to be the the Philippine League of Legends: Wild Rift champions for the Southeast Asia Icon Series 2021: Preseason.
As one of the top performers in the country, Nexplay Esports were eyed as the favorites coming into the tourney. From the Contender Series to Wild Rift Underground, their top-jungle duo Miguel “Arisen” Vincent Pison and Juschie “Juschie” Tan, who are former League of Legends professionals, have been pivotal in the team’s success.
Throughout the series, Nexplay were always a few steps ahead of their competition with dominating wins in 10-20-minute game times. In Games 1 and 2, Juschie’s Camille gave Nexplay their early advantages with his on-point rotations.
In Game 3, Arisen drew so much pressure with his Akali with a 71% Kill Participation and a whopping 1507 DPM. Throughout the series, the team’s engages were always in sync with Jazzfer “Dizastr” Villahermosa leading the charge on champions such as Rakan and Alistar. The last game followed in a similar fashion as Nexplay easily closed out the series 4-0.
Coming into the SEA Icon Series 2021, Nexplay Esports will be the team to look out for by local and international teams alike. Nexplay will be taking home $2500 and will continue to compete in Summer, 2021.
The PPGL 2021 Summer Split will have a ₱1,400,000 prize pool and will see teams from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao competing to represent the country internationally.
