T1 took another step forward after taking down North America’s Quincy Crew to secure a 4th to 3rd place spot at the Animajor. Sadly for Filipino fans, TNC Predator bowed down in the Lower Bracket second round against Evil Geniuses in a close 2-1 series.

EG started off the tie by utterly dominating TNC after a successful laning stage in game 1. TNC dug deep to push the series into a deciding game 3 but the All-Filipino lineup came short against fellow kababayan Abed “Abed” Yusop who flew across the map with his Ember Spirit.

TNC’s last hope of qualifying for The International would be the dreaded Regional Qualifiers. The qualifiers will start on June 30 and last until July 3.

T1, on the other hand, made an incredible comeback win against Quincy Crew in the Upper Bracket semifinals. Quincy Crew claimed first blood in the series with their brawny draft of Death Prophet and Tidehunter on Quinn “Quinn” Callahan and Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos, respectively.

Although beaten hard in game 1, T1 drafted a physical damage lineup of Dragon Knight and Terrorblade to bounce back and found a way to close up game 2 in their favor. Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahon’s fearless decision to build Divine Rapier was enough to make the North American team call it a game.

A thrilling game 3 started well for Quincy Crew as Lelis’ Broodmother ate up the top lane, forcing 23savage’s Phantom Assasin to take an early camp in the jungle. T1’s hard work around the map later in the game punished the heroes of Quincy Crew and made space for the Phantom Assasin who came online at the perfect moment.

T1 completed the comeback and climbed up to the Upper Bracket finals to face PSG.LGD for a spot in the Animajor Finals.
