LPL Adopts Meng Meng The Panda
The League of Legends Pro League (LPL), the one responsible for China’s top-level professional league for League of Legends, announced through their social media their adoption of Meng Meng the Panda yesterday, July 14, 2021.
The Panda "Meng Meng" has been adopted by the #LPL! Currently living in The Giant Panda Dujiangyan Base and weighing 54 kg or 119 lbs.

Meng Meng is currently living in the Dujiangyan Panda Base. This giant panda is currently weighing at around 54 kg or 119 lbs.
Located near the capital city of Chengdu in the Sichuan province west of China, the panda safe haven spans 51 hectares (126 acres) and boasts a panda rescue and quarantine area, a panda rescue and quarantine area, panda rescue and quarantine area, public reception and education area, natural vegetation area, and an office and logistics services area.
“We will keep an eye on Meng Meng’s healthy growth,” LPL wrote in their tweet. “We can ensure the Giant Panda’s preservation and protect nature together!”
As reported by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), this gentle beast is no longer endangered but is still vulnerable since September 2016.
