Hearthstone’s First Expansion Available This Week
Hearthstone’s first ever expansion, Goblins vs Gnomes (GvG), will be available this Saturday, Dec. 8, 2014.
Blizzard has been steadily revealing new cards that will be included in the expansion since its announcement at BlizzCon 2014. The teaser cards were selected by fans through voting on the expansion website.
GvG includes 120 brand new cards, including the new Mech minion type. The set also comes with a new board.
Expansion cards can be obtained through buying card packs and crafting with arcane dust. On release, card pack rewards in Arena mode will only pay out with GvG. Classic Hearthstone card packs will still be available at the game’s shop.
GvG card packs will feature five cards with one guaranteed rare, similar to classic card packs, but will only contain the new set of cards in the expansion.
The GvG expansion will be available on Dec. 8, 2014 in the Americas region (including Southeast Asia and Oceania). The expansion will roll-out in Europe, Taiwan and China on Dec. 9, 2014.
