Miku World Domination: Vocaloid rhythm game to hit global app stores within the year

The original VTuber is back!

Originally released in Japanese as Project Sekai: Colorful Stage, Hatsune Miku joins the global market for mobile rhythm games as we expect the launch of Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage this 2021.

Sega, in collaboration with Colorful Palette and Crypton Future Media, brings us on-stage along with our favorite popstar. Aside from tapping along to the beat, Colorful Stage, through an interactive visual novel, immerses the player in a story of growth wherein, according to producer Yuichiro Kondo, “Miku will be guiding the original characters on the journey to find their heart and music”.

Other Vocaloids such as Luka, KAITO, Rin, Len, and MEIKO will also be available in-game. Based on its Japanese equivalent, the player can choose among five groups of different musical genres who will share the spotlight with our virtual idols. Players can pull character cards of different rarities through a gacha system.

While concerts are kept within our screens due to the pandemic, the mobile game features a co-op mode where you and your friends can jam along to Vocaloid hits like EasyPop’s “Happy Synthesizer” and ryo’s “Melt”. Even better, Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage will feature brand new songs specifically made for the game, featuring artists like DECO*27, Mitchie M, Giga, PinocchioP, mafumafu, and many more.
