Jett nerfs, KAY/O buffs, Skye changes, and map updates in upcoming Valorant Patch 3.06
After a strong and steady reign as one of the top tier agents to use on Valorant, Riot Games is issuing nerfs to Jett dedicated to “play into the high precision fantasy Jett is all about.”
Jett steps on the balance scales for an adjustment, two of our Initiators get some tweaks, and five maps get a few stronger crates. Fracture also enters Competitive queue!

The updates revolve around two of Jett’s abilities, namely Cloudburst and Bladestorm.
The South Korean duelist will have the charges on her smoke reduced from three to two. The reduction hopes to see Jett players use her smokes more tactically — whether to smoke a choke point, a path for a dash, or to make a one-way.
The adjustments on Jett’s ultimate focuses on the right-click mechanic of her ability. Kills obtained using the right-click will no longer recharge her knives to “incentivize the high skill primary fire kills while still allowing the low-risk-low-reward burst fire option.” The Korean agent will also see changes to how damage is dealt with her right-click with damage and multipliers now mirroring the left-click.
The upcoming patch will also see Skye nerfed with a cost increase on her ultimate, Seekers. The Australian initiator will also see changes to her flash, Guiding Light, with the time it takes to equip a gun increasing from 0.5s to 0.75s after casting or bending Guiding Light’s projectile. The windup time for her flash to pop is also increased from 0.25s to 0.3s.
KAY/O is another agent seeing modifications on the upcoming patch with his ultimate, NULL/cmd, changed to continue pulsing even after being downed. His flash, FLASH/drive, is receiving some time reductions with the duration of windup telegraph being reduced from 0.5 to 0.3 and from 1s to 0.3s on right-click. The audio associated with the in-flight projectile has also been removed.
With the launching of Fracture into competitive play, updates for previous maps will also be shipping out with the upcoming patch. Most of the changes focus around removing wallbang spots on certain crates situated on plant sites “to create a safer planting option for attackers.” Notable changes include the crate stack on B-site of Icebox and one side of the crate stack near showers on A-site of Bind.
