SumaiL and Saksa leave OG
The post-TI10 transfer saga continues with Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan and Martin “Saksa” Sazdov’s departure from OG.
In a meeting held after the team’s TI10 run, SumaiL and Saksa expressed their desire to pursue opportunities outside of OG for the upcoming DPC season. The team granted their wishes.
“Both of them are incredible players and even better teammates. I am sure they will have a transformative effect in any organization they chose to join and they will continue to prove their world-class talent,” said JMR Luna, the CEO of OG, in the team’s official announcement. “Sumail, you will be missed. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us and thank you for always being warm and kind to us all.”

SumaiL and Saksa both joined OG in early 2020 following the departure of Anathan “ana” Pham and Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka from the active roster after TI9. SumaiL was released six months later but rejoined the team midway through 2021 for the TI10 Western Europe Qualifier. OG went on to fall short of their 3-peat goal, losing to eventual winners Team Spirit.
While SumaiL and Saksa’s stint at OG failed to produce any relevant silverware, the two players will still most likely have a number of suitors given their experience and quality. As for the rest of OG, Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs, and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen have yet to come out with their own plans for the next season.
