The Geo Patch: Itto, Gorou, Albedo, and new Wish mechanics

Genshin Impact Version 2.3 is truly the Geo patch as the new characters Gorou (4* Geo Bow) and Arataki Itto (5* Geo Claymore) were showcased in this weekend’s Special Program live stream. Alongside this, reruns for Albedo (5* Geo Sword) and Eula (5* Cryo Claymore) are also in store.

Both Albedo’s and Eula’s banners will run simultaneously during the first half of the patch. This is the first time since release that two Event Wish banners are going to be up at the same time. Due to this, a new Event Wish mechanic will be introduced to make the Albedo and Eula banners share pity count and guarantee. More information about this can be found in this dev blog post.

For the weapon banner, an all-new 5* Claymore named the Redhorn Stonethresher, was introduced.

Teyvat continues to expand as the new domain in Seirai Island in Inazuma brings two new artifact sets: the Husk of Opulent Dreams and the Ocean-Hued Clam. A new field boss called the Golden Wolflord will also be present in Inazuma. Travelers will also get to know Arataki Itto and Gorou more as this update also brings their story quests. Beidou fans should also rejoice as she, too, is getting a story quest.

Given that players of Genshin Impact must be used to updates by now, it’s no surprise that Version 2.3 brings old events back along with new ones.

The upcoming update will bring players back to Dragonspine with the event Shadows Amidst Snowstorms, and will grant the Travelers that conquer the various challenges with a 4* Sword Cinnabar Spindle, and Snowman Components.

Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog will take us all over Inazuma to rescue missing animals, and rewarding Travelers with the ability to keep more types of pets in their Serenitea Potsing the Omni-Ubiquity Net that Travelers will receive as a reward upon clearing the event.

Some of our favorite events will also get a rerun, including Energy Amplifier which allows Travelers to customize the difficulty for the challenge Domain. Players will also get to test more characters in Misty Dungeon. Liben makes a return in Marvelous Merchandise, giving us more primogems.

Onto the most important change in this update: you will be able to place Paimon in your Serenitea Pot, because this is obviously a feature that everyone wanted.
