Map 1 of the series was Split, and Team Secret started surprising viewers and the desk alike with an unusual choice for a Controller: Omen. Secret came out ahead in the first half as Defenders, 8-4. As Attackers, Team Secret showed their creativity with interesting executes and plants involving Omen’s From The Shadows, which involved baiting the rotation from the entirety of Crazy Raccoons onto B Site, with Jim “BORKUM” Timbreza teleporting onto an empty A Site and getting what is essentially a free plant. Team Secret claimed Map 1 with a final scoreline of 13-5.

Next up was Haven, and Team Secret showed no signs of slowing down. They once again started as Defenders, this time even more dominant. From winning aim duels and holding cheeky angles, the half ended at 10-2, and Crazy Raccoons never saw the victory screen again. With a show of skill, Team Secret closed out Haven at 13-2.

FEATURED STORIES

Jayvee “DubsteP” Paguirigan in the post-match interview attributed their overall score lead not to a gap in skill, but rather Team Secret’s familiarity and preparation to the way Crazy Raccoons play. Team Secret will have a Decider Match against Brazilian team Vikings for a spot in the quarterfinals.
