RSG took hold of Game 1 as they managed to keep ONIC’s antics at bay. RSG’s eagerness to reduce ONIC’s chances of winning was evident in their proactive plays around the map and it rewarded them with first blood in the series. Eman “EMANN” Sangco’s Wanwan and Jonard “Demonkite” Cedrix Caranto’s Karina were unstoppable as they slaughtered ONIC and went 5/0/5 and 6/0/9 respectively.
Game 2 was a more tightly-contested affair. RSG had the upper hand early in the game but ONIC cut down the gold lead come midgame. Major lead changes became the norm in Game 2 as both teams wrestled for momentum in a back-and-forth rally. RSG eventually capitalized on ONIC’s fatal mistake in a clash that led to only ONIC’s Gerald “Dlarskie” Trinchera escaping with his life to reach series point.
As the goddess of victory clearly sided with them today, RSG struck the last nail in the coffin for ONIC in Game 3. RSG initially trailed but was able to turn things around thanks to Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo pulling out his signature Thamuz and game MVP Dylan “Light” Catipon’s Atlas defying death.
With the win, RSG PH is set to face TNC in the upper bracket finals while ONIC PH drops to the lower bracket to face Smart Omega.
