Smart Omega, Blacklist Ultimate headline PH teams in Garena Masters S2 Round 1
Smart Omega and Blacklist Ultimate lead the Philippine teams in the Garena Masters Season 2 after dominating their opposition in 1 round of play. The 2020 and 2021 CODM champions both finished with an impressive 8-1 record and secured the top seeds for their respective groups in the process.
Smart Omega thrashed the tournament’s ‘group of death’, winning 2-1 against C8 Stealth, 3-0 against Tyrant Esports, and 3-0 against C8 Legacy. On the other hand, Blacklist Ultimate crushed Malaysia’s Huntsmen 3-0 and LF Organization 3-0 and then achieved a 2-1 against Warlord Esports Destra to have an identical record with Smart Omega.
Meanwhile, the third invited Filipino team, Mamba LowKings sported an 8-1 record of their own to top Group B while Singapore’s ALMGHTY capped a dominant showing in Group C with a 9-0 record.

With winning the title as their primary goal, Blacklist Ultimate and Smart Omega are heading in the right direction ahead of the playoffs. Round 2 of the group stages will commence on May 15, Sunday as teams are looking for better placement and to improve their positioning heading into the playoffs.
