PUBG Mobile Collaborates With EVANGELION For Special Game Mode
PUBG MOBILE (PUBGM) has collaborated with the iconic and acclaimed anime series EVANGELION for their limited-time game mode ‘Core Circle’.
“EVANGELION is one of the most famous and recognizable anime series of all time, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring its unique action, and futuristic world to PUBG MOBILE. The ‘Core Circle’ game mode continues our commitment to give players unforgettable experiences based on universally acclaimed and culturally significant partners, enriching the PUBG MOBILE experience for both current and new players,” Vincent Wang, Head of the PUBG MOBILE Publishing at Tencent Games, stated.
In the new game mode, players can watch EVA-01’s face off against EVANGELION’s 6th Angel. Players will start off in a special shrunken Blue Zone at the beginning of each match where they can witness the 6th Angel’s appearance on Spawn Island. Players can follow the action by finding EVA-01’s spawn point on the mini-map and observing the Angel’s route of destruction.
The players can also loot better supplies from the fortresses destroyed by the Angel and as well as change the structure of the fortress walls to better fit their combat plans. Special Blue Zone grenades can also be obtained to create a mini Blue Zone (which depletes Health). There is also a limited-time Respawn period near the beginning of the match where fallen players can return to the fold and still retain their weapons.
Besides the special game mode, the collaboration also features EVANGELION-themed cosmetics that range from the iconic character plugsuits, armor, parachutes, and backpacks. These EVANGELION-themed cosmetics can be redeemed through Exploration Progress and can be acquired permanently at a discounted fee.
This collaboration is part of the PUBG MOBILE’s Version 2.0 Update and runs from May 14 to June 19, 2022. For more information, you can visit the official PUBG MOBILE social channels on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
