Dota 2 fans, rejoice!
Following Valve’s announcement of Singapore as the venue for The International 11, additional details on the event have been revealed today. Arguably the most notable aspect of the announcement is the total number of teams flying to Singapore.
This will be the first time that a total of 30 teams will be participating in The International, with 20 teams competing in the group stage and 10 teams from the last chance qualifiers. The 20 teams with direct spots in the group stage will be coming from the top scorers of the Dota Pro Circuit.
The International will run from October 8 – 30, revealed in a post by Wykrhm Reddy, with the following schedule:
- October 8 – 12: Last Chance Qualifiers
- October 15 – 18: Group Stage
- October 20 – 23: Playoffs
- October 29 -30: Finals
The International 11 in Singapore will be the largest Dota tournament in history featuring 30 world class teams battling out on the road to the Aegis of Champions across 4 consecutive weekends.

All of The International 11 events will be LAN events, but only the playoffs and finals will be having a live audience to witness all the action in a Dota 2 pro esports event.
As of writing, Valve has yet to announce ticketing information for both the playoffs and finals venue.
