Team Secret Clinches Playoff Berth in VCT 2022 APAC Stage 2
Team Secret clinched the final spot for the VALORANT Challengers Tour (VCT) 2022 APAC Stage 2 Playoffs after sending Fancy United Esports home via a 2-0 sweep in Group D’s decider match.

Game 1 on Haven brought back the classic Team Secret (albeit with new tricks in the bag) that dominated the APAC scene once upon a time. Team Secret opened with a 6-round win streak before allowing Fancy United Esports to get on the board and win three consecutive rounds. With the second half score beginning at 9-3, Team Secret dispelled all notions of the infamous curse by bypassing the Vietnamese representatives’ double-controller setup with ease to end the game 13-6.
The last hope of Filipino VALORANT convincingly closed out the series on Ascent 13-7. Despite the loss at the opening pistol round, Team Secret picked themselves up and proceeded to pull off a 7-round win streak, with the first half ultimately 8-4 in favor of Team Secret. Team Secret had a bit of a scare in the second half as Fancy United desperately pushed for an equalizer but the Filipino squad’s composure stood firm.
With this win, Team Secret is now the only remaining Filipino representative after Oasis Gaming and RRQ Philippines all bowed out earlier in the tournament. However, Team Secret will immediately be put to the test yet again as they face XERXIA Esports first in the VCT 2022 APAC Stage 2 Playoffs.
