Renejay reveals reason for his frequent absences in MPL-PH Season 9
Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse revealed the reason for his frequent absences in the MPL Philippines Season 9 in his YouTube vlog posted last Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
In a video aptly titled “BAKIT WALA AKO SA PLAYOFFS!”, Renejay revealed that the reason for his absences last season was due to unforeseen circumstances he had to handle.
“May nangyayari kasing sitwasyon na naiipit ako [There are situations that happen where I’m caught in between],” the Nexplay EVOS pro revealed. “Di ako tamad. Marami lang din akong responsibilities [I’m not lazy. I also just have a lot of responsibilities].”
Renejay’s explanation was warranted to his fans after he was noticeably missing playtime last season, most especially during the playoffs where they ended up in the 5th-6th place after they lost to ONIC Philippines.
Moreover, most of what his fans got earlier this year was his two singles in “DI Loyal” and “Bago”. As such, he also clarified to his fans and assured them that his singing career was simply an offshoot of his hobbies and not a distraction per se.
In the same video, he revealed that he is back to grinding and is eager to get back to his usual playing form this upcoming season.
“Nagga-grind ako ng paggising ng umaga [like at] 10 AM. Buong magdamag yun, hanggang umaga [natatapos between] 5-6 AM [I immediately grind as soon as I wake up at like 10 AM. That’s for the whole day, up until at early morning between 5-6 AM].”
He also confessed that he was a bit confused as to what his role on the team would be.
“Di ko alam among role ko [I don’t know what my role is],” Renejay confessed as he either has to be an EXP, Gold, or be the designated Tank. Regardless, Renejay said that he will stand by the role he’d be given.
