Rex Regum Qeon Punch Their Quarterfinals Ticket in Wild Rift Icons

Philippine bets Rex Regum Qeon advance to the Knockouts Stage and secure a Quarterfinals Slot in the Wild Rift Icons 2022 after their 2-0 win against Sengoku Gaming.

The full Filipino team composed of Keith Janold “Devil J” Gonzales, Charles Roman “Chazz” Esguerra, Sean Khierby “Helios” Palisoc, Marc Andrew “Marky” Ilagan, and Eric Allen “Exosen” Gubatan and led by Head Coach Jon Lance “Kaigu” Hernandez sent Sengoku Gaming back to Japan in a convincing manner after the Group Stage match.

In just under 16 minutes, RRQ took Game 1 and ended it with 16 kills. Sengoku Gaming weren’t allowed to get anything but two kills and two towers. The second game was just as one-sided, and RRQ finally sealed the deal after a 14-minute massacre.

This match concludes Group B, where RRQ and China’s J Team both got out. J Team defeated RRQ in the Groups’ Winners’ Match, which resulted in RRQ’s 2-1 record. RRQ will face another of China’s representatives in FunPlus Phoenix, who made it out of Group C with an undefeated record.

Rex Regum Qeon placed third in the Wild Rift Champions SEA 2022, and is one of four teams representing the region in Icons. 4th place team Buriram United Esports from Thailand have already been eliminated, while Singapore’s Team Flash and Taiwan’s Flash Wolves both made it to the Quarterfinals.
