Team Secret defeated Made in Thailand (MiTH) via a 2-1 comeback at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 Asia-Pacific: Last Chance Qualifier (VCT APAC LCQ).

Falling Hard in Haven

Team Secret started the series badly as they fell hard and lost the first game in Haven 13-6.

The Filipinos’ last hope got read like a book the entire game by MiTH. Despite ending the first half in a tie, Team Secret couldn’t get any more rounds in the second half as MiTH controlled the game with Kadoom‘s Neon. Their sites were almost always given away for free and their retake executes never worked. Jayvee “DubsteP” Paguirigan was also noticeably having an off game as he measly recorded 41 ACS on a disappointing 0/7/0 KDA in the second half.

Waking Up in Ascent

Reeling from their Game 1 loss, Team Secret woke up from their slumber just in time to equalize the series in Ascent.

FEATURED STORIES

For this game, Jessie “JessieVash” Cuyco pulled out Fade instead of his signature Sova — which turned out to be an integral changeup as Fade’s utility haunted MiTH. Meanwhile, DubsteP also recovered from his Game 1 slump and led the charge against MiTH as he worked with game MVP Kevin “dispenser” Te in taking down their enemies. With their gargantuan efforts, Team Secret reversed their faiths and ended the game 13-6 in their favor.

Victory in Bind

With victory in their sights, Team Secret came out on top and took Bind 13-9 to win the series.

Team Secret had a spectacular beginning on Bind as they won three straight rounds from the start. However, MiTH didn’t go without a fight and tied the game in the first half. Kadoom’s pestilence on his Chamber became a menace for Team Secret and was the reason for their multiple round losses. Fortunately, they were able to stave off any tricks MiTH tried to use on them and ended the game convincingly in the 22nd round.

With this win, Team Secret moves up the VCT APAC LCQ bracket where they will face the victor between BLEED and Alter Ego in the Upper Bracket Semifinals.
