Smart Omega finally falls in The Nationals’ CODM Philippine Open Group Stage Day 2
The seemingly invincible CODM powerhouse team Smart Omega is invincible no more as BREN EPro tarnished their run on the final day of The Nationals’ CODM Philippine Open.
BREN did the unthinkable and did what no team ever did in this edition of The Nationals by defeating Smart Omega in a series, 2-1. The boys in black and yellow followed up their impressive feat by also downing second-place Cignal Ultra Warriors, 2-1.

However, Smart Omega immediately bounced back and swept Laus Playbook Esports Eagles 2-0 to still finish at the top spot with an impressive 7 wins against only 1 loss.

For the remaining matches of the day, the STI E-Olympians had a 50/50 day as they won against Cignal 2-1 and lost against Laus 1-2.

Ultimately, STI was eliminated after finishing at the bottom of the standings with 2 wins against 7 losses. The top four teams Smart Omega, Cignal Ultra Warriors, BREN EPro, and Laus Playbook Esports Eagles will proceed to the tournament’s playoffs starting next week.
