New Cyberpunk, Multiple Witcher Games, and New Standalone CD PROJEKT Game Are Coming Soon

CD PROJEKT (CDPR) just teased their fans about their upcoming big title projects which involved the Cyberpunk and The Witcher franchises, as well as a brand new standalone game.

With their recent success with the Cyberpunk IP, CD PROJEKT shared that they are going to develop a new Cyberpunk game under the codename of Orion.

Meanwhile, CD PROJEKT seems to have a lot of plans for The Witcher franchise.

First off, they’re set on creating a new AAA RPG trilogy starting with Polaris — the codename for the next installment in the main series of The Witcher games.

On the other hand, the two other projects for the franchise will be developed by other game studios. The first one is Canis Majoris, a full-fledged Witcher game that isn’t tied with Polaris. Canis Majoris will be developed by game developers from an external studio who have worked on previous Witcher games. Meanwhile, Sirius is yet another Witcher game (developed by CDPR subsidiary studio The Molasses Flood) that will have multiplayer gameplay besides the normal single-player campaign.

Finally, Project Hadar will be an entirely new IP made from scratch by CDPR itself. As per their announcement, Hadar is still in its early stages of the creative process which means we really have no idea what they’re trying to develop.

Besides the multitude of games they announced. CDPR is also aiming to expand its brand outside just video games by “spinning up the franchise flywheels”. This means that they will be releasing more similar products akin to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, as well as books and comics, merch, mobile games, and more.
