Yay Joins Cloud9’s VALORANT Roster
Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, arguably the best VALORANT player in the world, has joined Cloud9’s VALORANT roster after weeks of speculation on his future.

The announcement came in the form of a video announcement Cloud9 released earlier today, October 18, 2022.
Yay’s signing was much anticipated after multiple reports prior to the announcement all pointed to now-former OpTic Gaming’s designated operator player going to Cloud9.
Besides Yay, Cloud9 also signed former Sentinels and Version1 player Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro, former Team Liquid analyst Mateja “qpert” Mijovic as a player, and head coach Matthew “mCe” Elmore from The Guard.
With Yay on their side, Cloud9’s roster now features the following:

- Anthony “vanity” Malaspina
- Erick “Xeppaa” Bach
- Nathan “leaf” Orf
- Mateja “qpert” Mijovic (Sub)

- Erik “vapen” Sutton (Assistant Coach)
