Yu-Gi-Oh! cards come to life thanks to French content creator SuperZouloux
As a kid, have you ever fantasized about playing Yu-Gi-Oh! where the cards come to life just like in the anime? French streamer and content creator SuperZouloux did precisely just that.
As revealed in his YouTube video, SuperZouloux stated that this “kid’s fantasy” of his was a 7-month long secret project that started after he attended an OrelSan concert back on March 19th of this year. Furthermore, he was inspired by Project A.T.E.M. — an Android-based app that makes the cards come alive through augmented reality (the stuff that made Pokémon Go very popular).
His 3D AR project was programmed on several combinations of applications in which it can automatically display each monster card on the field. He also designed a special mat and attached chips to each and every card that he used on this project, all 3600 of them.
With news of his project going viral, people all over the internet have praised SuperZouloux’s project.
Every time I think the golden age of gaming is over and corporations have fully converted my passion into soulless skinner boxes, it takes something like this to keep me optimistic and enthusiastic.
THIS is awesome tech is what we dreamed about – not gacha boxes or DLC fomo!
