ALMGHTY renews mastery over Smart Omega in PH vs SG classic

Singapore’s juggernaut ALMGHTY drew first blood as they renew their mastery over PH rivals and good friends Smart Omega on Day 4 of the CODM Garena Masters 4.

In the first meeting of the two teams since last year’s Stage 4 qualifiers, ALMGHTY extended their winning streak against Smart Omega in another classic. The Singaporeans dominated 3-0, winning all matches in Hardpoint at Firing Range 250-212, Search and Destroy at Raid 7-4 and Control at Hacienda 3-2.

Smart Omega lost a key hardpoint in game 1 that spelled the difference for the rest of the series. ALMGHTY capitalized and never looked back from then on out, eventually sweeping the rematch between the two title favorites.

Team captain Toh Jun “Incendio” Hui won MVP for the series as he raised the banner for Singapore once again.

The win brings AMT to the top of Group C with 3 series wins and 0 losses thus far. Smart Omega stayed at a distant second with a win and a loss for themselves. Only the top two of each group will advance into the playoff stages.
