Sim racers from Southeast Asia now invited in 4th Ferrari Esports Series

Aspiring Filipino sim racers can now fulfill their racing dreams as drivers from Southeast Asia are now invited to race in the fourth edition of the Ferrari Esports Series.

Following the launch show broadcasted on the FerrariEsports Twitch channel, Ferrari has announced the return of the Ferrari Esports Series and is now inviting drivers from Southeast Asia to join the starting line in the Asia Pacific heats, marking the first time the region can participate in the competition’s history.

The Ferrari Esports Series is a six-month racing tournament bringing together sim racers from Europe, North America, and Asian Pacific regions for the chance to race in the grand final on October 12, 2023.

Drivers will be battling each other on Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione, two simulation racing games developed by Kunos Simulazioni, to compete for the crowning title of the 2023 Ferrari Esports Series Champion and the opportunity to be part of the Scuderia Ferrari Esports Team.

“The Ferrari Esports Series is not like any other sim racing competition,” said Jonathan Riley, 2022 Ferrari Esports Champion. “It’s six intense months of high-speed racing against the world’s best amateur sim racers, all with one common goal in mind. It’s a chance to sit among the best sim drivers and compete for the greatest motorsport brand in the world.” 

Registration for the Hot Lap phase of the series is now open. The first track will be none other than the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (SPA circuit), with racing starting on May 1st. The racing schedule will include:

  • Qualifiers
    • Qualifier 1 – July 20
    • Qualifier 2 – August 24
    • Qualifier 3 – September 12 
  • APAC Regional – September 23 | NA Regional – September 24 | EU Regional – September 30 
  • Grand Final Pre-Show – October 11
  • Grand Final – October 12

Via the Ferrari Esports Series

Alongside the racing calendar, Ferrari’s 2023 Esports Series will have a new season of video content. Hosted by Julia Hardy and Mike Channell, the video content is set to bring viewers all the news, updates, and action from the season of racing. The season will feature:

  • Ferrari 101 – returning for 2023 across five episodes, sharing advice and tips for aspiring sim racers.
  • Off The Grid – A three-part documentary series following last year’s Ferrari Esports Series winner Jonathan Riley, showing the emotional and personal experience of being a leading sim racer.

The full season of Ferrari Esports Series racing will be broadcasted on their official Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook channels.
