“As an organization, it is important for us to listen to our players and allow them to evolve in the best conditions. We respect his decision and we are doing our best to support the players and the staff members to face this situation.”

With the team missing players, especially since Michael “mikee” Lim is also inactive, Karmine Corp was forced to field assistant coach Ahmed “ZE1SH” El Sheikh as Newzera’s replacement.

“Regarding the rules to change players during the split, our assistant coach and official substitute Ahmed “ZE1SH” El Sheikh will take [Newzera’s ] place in the roster starting Friday for the game against [Natus Vincer].”

The EMEA League is still at the midpoint of its season and it has already been a bad one for the French-based organization. Ever since they won their match against BBL Esports to start the season, Karmine Corp is on a three-game losing streak, losing via 2-0 sweeps against Team Heretics, Team Liquid, and Team Vitality.

With only five matches left to play, Karmine Corp is looking to salvage their season as they go against NAVI, KOI, FUT Esports, FNATIC, and Giants Gaming.
