The SIBOL-Oasis Gaming VALORANT roster is composed of Nathaniel “Nexi” Cabero, Bhreyanne Christ “Wild0reoo” Reyes, Jose Eduardo “Draxii” Jamir, Xavier “xavi8k” Juan, Mark Anthony “markyy” Tuling, and George Audrey “Georggyyy” Lachica along with their coach Jose Carlo “Rbtx” Jamir.

The Filipino VALORANT team was miles ahead during the group stage of the competition, claiming victories in all of their matches to secure a 5-0 record as the top-seeded team coming into the playoffs.

Despite bulldozing through the group stage, SIBOL VALORANT faltered in the semifinals at the hands of Indonesia, whom they previously demolished 13-2 in Haven in their first match in Cambodia. They were utterly swept, 2-0, by a team who barely qualified for the playoffs, only having won three rounds (13-1 Lotus; 13-2 Ascent) throughout the entire beatdown.

In the bronze medal match, the Filipino representatives were confident once again and took down Vietnam with ease. They scored 13-5 to claim the first game in Ascent and followed it up with a close 13-10 in Haven to take the bronze medal for themselves.

SIBOL VALORANT’s bronze adds up to SIBOL’s tally of three medal finishes in SEA Games 2023, with the other two medals coming from the League of Legends: Wild Rift team’s gold and CrossFire’s bronze.
