Blacklist secures playoff spot in CDSI 2023
Blacklist International has secured a playoff spot in the Call of Duty Mobile Summer Invitational (CDSI) after a rough group stage.
The Garena Masters 4 champions made it in after having a 3-2 win-loss record in the tournament’s group stage. After having a strong start by beating China’s SPG (3-0), they fumbled and lost two straight to their Garena rivals. Blacklist struggled en route to losing to Singapore’s ALMGHTY (1-3) and fellow Filipinos WPM LowKings (0-3).
To qualify for the playoffs, Blacklist had to regroup to barely beat Q9 (3-2) and then gain back their momentum against Japan’s Z-ONE (3-0). They had an overall win-loss map record of 10-8 which might be a bit underwhelming for the champions of MSP.
Now, the Filipinos face the tall task ahead of going through the lower bracket to win it all. Blacklist faces Indonesia’s Kagendra which figures to be an explosive matchup between two Southeast Asian teams.
