WPM LowKings trounce Wolves, book a flight to China
The West Point Mamba (WPM) LowKings put clamps on China’s best Wolves and book a ticket to China for the CDSI semifinals.
WPM came away with a victory against the Chinese champions after a hard-fought and nerve-wracking six games, 4-2.
The Filipinos won two intense Hardpoint matches in Summit and Hacienda behind team captain John “Yop1” Manalang’s heroics. Wolves secured both SnD matches in Firing Range and Tunisia to mark the Chinese’ mastery of the game mode.
Yet it was the LowKings who had the final laugh in the series by taking both Control rounds. Patrick “Peejay” Sagudo capped off his MVP performance in Game 6 Control at Crossroads Strike with a 46-kill effort.
With the win, WPM has now booked a ticket to Weihai City, China where they will play in the semifinals of the tournament.
