In an exclusive interview during the first day of the tour, Garena CODM’s game producer and product manager for Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines Nicholas Ting, simply known as Sir Nic, revealed that the Road To Legendary tour was meant for them to grasp and see the game’s community from its roots.

“I think the intention of [the Road To Legendary tour] is [for the Garena CODM team] to really come down to the ground [and] get to know the players,” Sir Nic mentioned in the exclusive interview.

When asked about why the tour started in Cebu, Sir Nic mentioned that they’ve received community feedback from the past as their previous events in the Philippines only focused on the Manila region.

“We’re just expanding our reach in terms of wanting to get to know different people from different parts of the Philippines and get to really know what [the Filipino CODM community] finds really meaningful and then be able to create in-game content that is meaningful [for the community].”
