La Salle’s Viridis Arcus claims UAAP Esports VALORANT gold
De La Salle University Manila’s Viridis Arcus Esports were triumphant in the VALORANT leg of the UAAP Esports debut season.
The squad in green faced off against Teletigers Esports, hailing from the University of Santo Tomas, in the grand final best-of-three.
Viridis Arcus swiftly took the first map, 13-5. They kept their dominance onto the next map, Bind, and closed out the series with their 13-7 win.
VA, composed of Derrick Ong, Lucas Gruenberg, Miguel Fernando Dy, Gerardo Luis Corpus II, Lance Elmo Gacayan, and coach Xavier “xavi8k” were all awarded the gold medal.
Meanwhile, TGR, composed of Damien Joshua Santos, Carl Angelo Baldovia, Nathan Kyle Manuta, Angelo Kyan Ysibido, Erl Adrik Mariano, and John Matthew Cuaresma, earned the silver medal.
Due to technical difficulties, the battle for bronze was canceled. Thus, both the Ateneo Blue Eagles and UP Fighting Maroons were awarded the bronze medals.
Ateneo was represented by Joaquin De Guia, Juancho Garcia, John Michael Amador, Christian Owen, Joaquin Antonio, and Juan Antonio Rosales.

Meanwhile, the Maroons comprised Lance Veyonce Clemente, Nathan Gabriel Danac, Jose Benedicto Dasas, Rafael Anton Somera, Cyrus Toring, and Paul Julian Uson.
