NAOS Esports survive Ascension Pacific elimination with first win
Filipino bets NAOS Esports pulled through in their first do-or-die match in the VCT Ascension Pacific 2024, but they still have a long journey ahead.
NAOS Esports vs Oblivion Force
NAOS faced Hong Kong team Oblivion Force in Lower Bracket Round 1 of the VCT Ascension Pacific 2024 on September 22.
The two teams first clashed on Icebox, NAOS’ map pick. The PH squad grew a sizable lead to start the map. OF attempted to stop the snowball and was almost successful. But, NAOS persevered to take the opening map, 13-10. Federico “PapiChulo” Evangelista on Viper was the map MVP after leading the server with his 23 / 11 / 6 KDA.
They next met on Lotus, OF’s pick. The tale of this map was no different than the first, with NAOS ending the first half with a commanding 9-3 scoreline. This time, though, they gave the Hong Kong team less room to breathe and promptly closed the series with this 13-7 win. Jerome “Mojer” Literal, who piloted Raze, was the map MVP after leading the server in KDA. Mojer also reached a staggering 357 Average Combat Score and averaged 238 damage per round.

NAOS in Ascension Pacific
NAOS Esports began their journey in this year’s Ascension in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. There, they faced Indonesian team BOOM Esports, and buckled under them. The 0-2 loss to BOOM sent them to this lower bracket match against Oblivion Force.
From now on, all matches are do-or-die for NAOS; one loss will spell the end of their Ascension run.
