BOOM persist to rematch Sin Prisa in Ascension Pacific final
BOOM Esports completed their lower bracket run in the VCT Ascension Pacific 2024. They now look ahead to a rematch against the strongest team in the tournament.
BOOM Esports vs FULL SENSE
Indonesian team BOOM Esports took on the Thai squad FULL SENSE in the lower bracket final of VCT Ascension Pacific 2024. BOOM were the favorites going into the match, and, combined with the home court buff, were expected to completely dominate FULL SENSE.
The first two maps of this best-of-five were exactly that – domination. BOOM took Ascent and Abyss back to back, 13-7 and 13-9.
On Lotus, however, FULL SENSE fought back. They had BOOM down 6-11, but the ID team were revitalized and won six out of the seven remaining maps to force overtime. FULL SENSE struck back and swiftly took the map in OT, 14-12.
BOOM opened strong on Sunset, burying FS in a 1-6 disadvantage. FS eventually caught up in the half, but BOOM beat them to the punch in the latter half to take the map 13-9. This loss spelled the end for FULL SENSE’s Ascension run.
Ascension Pacific 2024 grand final: BOOM vs Sin Prisa Gaming
BOOM Esports booked their ticket to the grand final via the lower bracket after their win versus Full Sense. Korean team Sin Prisa Gaming were the ones who sent BOOM to the lower bracket in the first place.
In fact, Sin Prisa has been blazing a trail through their competition, sweeping everyone in their path without dropping a single map. To get to the grand final, they swept RIDDLE ORDER, BOOM Esports, and FULL SENSE.
Now, BOOM Esports look to reclaim their honor in their home country in the VCT Ascension Pacific 2024 grand final.
