Aurora, Team Liquid PH sweep Week 1 of MPL Season 15
Aurora Gaming and Team Liquid Philippines swept the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL Philippines) Season 15 opening week at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati on Saturday, March 1.
Kiel “Oheb” Soriano entered his Team Liquid Philippines debut with a bang, earning the match MVP honors in the Cavalry’s 2-0 win against Team Falcons. Team Falcons recently acquired AP Bren’s former lineup, as it splintered from the organization ahead of this year.
Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno proved why he is considered the “greatest of all time” in MLBB, as he led Team Liquid PH through a sweep of Twisted Minds 2-0 to conclude their opening campaign.
MPL Season 14 finalist Aurora got the first game of the season after making quick work of newly-minted MPL team Twisted Minds, 2-0, before a gutsy 2-1 win over reigning world champions ONIC Philippines.
Aurora read a flank by Borris “Brusko” Parro in the 10th minute, leaving ONIC Philippines undermanned before the first lord take, which Aurora won uncontested. Aurora then barreled from that momentum to seal the win within 16 minutes.
Edward “Edward” Jay Dapadap was hailed the match MVP for the series.
