2026 Asian Games will have 11 esports titles

The 2026 Asian Games in Aichi and Nagoya, Japan, will feature 11 esports game titles, as approved by the Olympic Council of Asia, announced in February.

The Aichi and Nagoya Asian Games will feature the following games:

  • Street Fighter 6
  • Pokemon Unite
  • Honor of Kings
  • League of Legends – Asian Games Version
  • PUBG Mobile – Asian Games Version
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
  • Dreams of 3 Kingdoms
  • Naroka – Bladepoint
  • Grand Turismo 7
  • Efootball Series
  • Puyo Puyo

The games, which will be held from September 19 to October 4, marks the first appearance of eight titles.

Esports in the Asian Games

The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China—which was delayed to 2023 because of the pandemic—featured seven game titles. Of the seven, only League of Legends, the Street Fighter franchise, and PUBG Mobile will return in 2026.

The Philippines placed 9th–11th in the 19th Asian Games, with China grabbing gold and Mongolia and Malaysia as the recipients of silver and bronze, respectively.

The official motto and theme of the 2026 Aichi and Nagoya Asian Games will be “Imagine One Asia,” announced by the Aichi-Nagoya Asiam Games Organising Committee in 2019, before the pandemic.

Esports debuted as a demonstration sport in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.
