Dune: Awakening announces release date, launches character creator mode
Fans of the legendary Dune universe created by Frank Herbert are in for a veritable treat as Dune: Awakening, the upcoming survival crafting game developed by Funcom, is set to release on May 20, 2025. With the success of the reboot movies starring Timothée Chalamet and the next movie still years from release, fans of the Dune-verse are thirsty for more action on beloved sandy Arrakis.
The newest project from the makers of the beloved Conan Exile games promises to be an immersive and punishing experience on the desolate sands of this wartorn planet. Start with absolutely nothing as you find a way to make your mark on this planet with your friends or even by yourself and eventually start your Spice empire.
With multiple classes, from the Bene Gesserit Acolytes to the Swordmasters to the Troopers, there are multiple skills to min-max as you try to survive your own way. You won’t be tied down to your first class because the game will eventually allow you to mix and match for your own personalized build.
Dune: Awakening allows players to benchmark and create characters
Players can now create their own characters by looking for the game on Steam! With multiple customizations available, you can make your character look however you want or exactly like Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides.
Players can also check out the benchmark option to see how well their rigs can run the game when it launches.

If you check out the character creation or the benchmark, you can also snag a code for the Frameblade knife skin.
