Major All Stars Dota 2 SEA Invited Teams Announced
On Dec. 30, 2014, Fallout Gaming, an electronic sports organization based in Malaysia, announced a global Dota 2 tournament featuring eight teams from around the world to be held in Kuala Lumpur this coming March 2015. The said event will have an initial prize pool of $100,000 (P4,472,500), which will be increased through ticket sales and other sources of revenue.
Fallout Gaming revealed the two Southeast Asian teams who will be playing at the main stage of the tourney: Invasion eSports and Rave-Dota. They are considered to be two of the most stable teams in the SEA Dota 2 scene at the moment. In addition, registrations for the SEA online qualifiers have started and two more SEA teams are expected to emerge from the qualifiers to fight in the LAN finals.
It is important to note that the tournament will become one of the largest Southeast Asian Dota 2 events to date, both in prize pool and in team participation. This comes after the OK.-Dota 2 Championship which was held at the Good Game Convention in Singapore from Dec. 27-28, 2014 and which featured a $50,000 (P2,236,250) prize pool.
