NA Dota and SEA Dota go head-to-head as Evil Geniuses take on MVP.Phoenix for their slot at the Lower Bracket Finals against recently relegated Team Liquid.

EG dominated the early goings of Game 1 with MVP.Phoenix struggling to keep up. Syed “SumaiL” Hassan’s Death Prophet and Artour “Arteezy” Babaev’s Ursa are getting superior farm but MVP.Phoenix soldiers on and almost evens out the game come mid game. Evil Geniuses pin point execution was not going to be denied as they take the lead once again. EG steamroll into the Korean’s base and force the GG at 32 minutes.

MVP.Phoenix’s tournament lives were at stake so they will be giving it their all in this Game 2. EG gets to pick up the same crucial heroes that won them Game 1 in Ursa and Earth Spirit for Clinton “Fear” Loomis. And just like last game Fear’s Earth Spirit creates early problems for Pyo “MP” No-a’s Invoker and the rest of MVP.Phoenix. To make it even worse Sahill “Universe” Arora’s Broodmother is also causing problems across the map. MVP.Phoenix have to find a solution if they want to stay at Shanghai. The game is quickly running away from the Koreans against the well-oiled EG machine. A big Echo Slam from Lee “Forev” Sang-don halts the EG advance as the American side tried to take the high ground. Unfortunately for MVP.Phoenix, EG was too far ahead in terms of gold and experience that their small victory was not as impactful as they hoped. MVP.Phoenix concede the Lower Bracket Final slot to EG at 35 minutes.

The dream run for the Koreans come to an end but MVP.Phoenix should be proud they made it to the Top 4 in Shanghai. Evil Geniuses will take on Team Liquid early tomorrow in the Lower Bracket final.
