The Garena Premier League Spring 2017 kicks off today in Manila
In case you missed it, the most premier League of Legends tournament in South East Asia makes its way to Manila this year. The Garena Premier League pits six of the best LoL teams in the region for a chance to represent SEA at the Mid-Season Invitationals.
The six teams competing are as follows:
Mineski from the Philippines
Kuala Lumpur Hunters from Malaysia
Ascension Gaming from Thailand
Fortius Gaming from Indonesia
Rigel from Singapore
GIGABYTE Marines from Vietnam
Based off of the results from the previous GPL tournaments, GIGABYTE Marines and Ascension Gaming have been given a playoff berth. The remaining four teams battle it out in two days of group stage games. At the end of two days the team with the best record goes on to face Ascension, and the second best team faces the Marines.
The first day of group stage starts today, and you can watch all the group stage and semifinal games here. The finals will be held at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier in Taguig. You can get your tickets at the Garena office or at partner internet cafés.
